The founding fathers of Yayasan Tun Abdul Hamid were always mindful of the duty incumbent on all mankind to help their fellow human beings. Indeed, one of the objects for which the Yayasan was established is to relieve human suffering and improve the standard of human life.

“This requires vast resources and immense effort,” lamented a Director.

“But if each person in the world who can, does their small part, a tiny mound may over time, grow into a mountain,” suggested another Director.

And so ‘Small Steps’ was initiated: a gentle helping hand for those in need.

2018 proved to be a busy year with donations made to several non-governmental humanitarian organisations, in order for them to continue with their good works in line with our Yayasan’s objective to reduce human suffering and improve the quality of human life.


Palliative Care Association of Johor Bahru (PCAJB) was just one of several humanitarian organisations which received a contribution from the Yayasan. PCAJB provides to more than 250 patients annualy.
