Yayasan Tun Abdul Hamid Board of Directors held their final Quarterly Board Meeting for 2014 on Monday 15 Dec 2014 at the meeting room of no. 20 Jalan Lumut, 50400, Kuala Lumpur.

The meeting was graced by a full Board and several routine administrative matters were discussed with the usual enthusiasm and meticulousness which accompany every board meeting of the Yayasan.

Of special interest to mention was the unanimous decision to donate RM10,000.00 towards the Rotary Club of Johor Bahru Haemodialysis Centre and Palliative Care Association of Johor Bahru.

Most Malaysians are familiar with the concept of dialysis centres but some of us may be unaware of the term palliative care. Palliative care is care given to improve the quality of life of patients with cancer. In so many instances, the terminally ill are subjected to the indignity of being unable to perform the simplest functions themselves such as eating, drinking and bathing. Providing these patients the necessary basic daily care makes a tremendous difference to their self respect and sense of personal worth and allows them to live their final days with dignity, as befits all fellow human beings.

Also of importance to mention at the meeting was the heartfelt appreciation and gratitude expressed by YTAH Chairman, Encik Azizuddin bin Abdul Hamid to the Board of Directors and Members of Yayasan Tun Abdul Hamid for their continual and tireless contributions in the efficient organisation and administration of the Yayasan.
